Public Message to Andrew George

Public message to:  Andrew George, former MP and Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate for West Cornwall and the Scilly Isles.  6.6.2017
Re:  D-Day For Democracy
Dear Andrew,
It's two days before the general election and I've just received your latest propaganda leaflet.  As you know, I am supporting you in this election, as the only viable alternative to the right wing.  However,
I feel you have shot yourself in the foot in a big way.  Not only have your Liberal Democrat Party refused to make a coalition with the Socialist Jeremy Corbyn, if the people choose him (the Lib Dems having sold out and already been in a compromised coalition government with the rightist Conservative Party) but you have gone further and made an extraordinarily negative statement.

"Theresa May will win this overall."

I'm amazed that you can make such a negative and prejudicial statement to the people of West Cornwall - effectively undermining support for the Labour Party.  Whilst we all have a right to express our opinions, when an MP or former MP speaks, many people take their words more seriously and are influenced by them.

Having registered my complaint, I still hope you win and look forward to working closely with you to address the problems of police-violence, government-deception, foreign policy, social inequality and other matters.

Wishing you well for Thursday,
Best wishes,  Jeremy Sch@nche
